 ROLA highly values your personal information and privacy protection. We will provide corresponding security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with legal requirements and mature industry security standards. To provide you with ROLA's services, which allow you to safely connect and manage smart devices, we may collect your Wi-Fi information, location information, login account information, mobile-related information, smart device-related information, and the associated information between ROLA accounts and smart devices. These pieces of information will be used to provide you with the functionalities of smart device quick connection, nearby device discovery, and device management.

When you use this product, your account information will be authorized and verified on the ROLA platform. When you share photos and videos to third-party platforms, they will be stored and processed on those platforms. When using the push service, photos and videos will be stored and processed on the ROLA software platform. When using the video cloud storage function, videos will be stored and processed on the ROLA software platform, and this function requires manual activation. When using the user feedback function, information such as your provided phone number, email address, and feedback content will be uploaded to the ROLA platform system for storage and processing.

1. How we collect and use your personal information

Personal information refers to various types of information recorded electronically or by other means that, alone or in combination with other information, can identify a specific natural person's identity or reflect a specific natural person’s activity conditions.

Sensitive personal information includes ID card numbers, personal biometric information, bank account numbers, property information, travel tracks, transaction information, and personal information of children under 14 (inclusive).

We will only collect and use your personal information for the purposes described in this statement:

1) Sharing functionality

To enable the sharing of recorded short videos and pictures from "ROLA products," we need to read and write phone storage and collect the following information: the list of applications installed on the phone.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: to check whether the relevant applications have been installed on the phone, to ensure a smooth transition.

If you do not provide such information, the "ROLA product" application will not know whether the phone has the relevant applications installed and cannot provide accurate prompts.

2) Sharing functionality

To enable the sharing of real-time videos, recorded videos, alarm videos, and alarm messages through "ROLA products," we need to use your camera to share devices by scanning QR codes.

If you do not provide such information, the "ROLA product" application will not be able to share devices with other users by scanning QR codes.

3) Location-based services

To determine the camera's time zone, ensuring accurate time display in the device’s login service region, we need to collect the following information: IP address, area/country code, and system time.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: to present accurate device time display, login service region, and offline time information.

If you do not provide such information, the added ROLA robot devices might display incorrect time and timezone information.

4) Adding ROLA robot devices

To make the "ROLA robot device" application as simple as possible when binding devices, we need to use data services and collect the following information: WLAN name, location permission, password, ROLA account login information (including avatar, nickname, and login identifier ROLA ID), and device identifier.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: the ROLA robot product application obtains the WLAN name and password when binding devices. The data will not be stored locally or in the cloud but only used for device networking.

The ROLA robot product application obtains the ROLA account login identifier (ROLA ID) when logging into the ROLA account. The data will be stored in the cloud to uniquely identify the user's identity;

The ROLA robot product application obtains the ROLA account avatar and nickname when logging into the ROLA account. The data will be stored locally on the phone for mobile APP user display.

If you do not provide such information, the ROLA robot product application will not be able to discover devices, which is necessary for adding the device to the network for normal use.

5) Real-time video watching and calling functionality

To enable real-time watching and calling functionality of the ROLA robot product, we need to use the camera and microphone and collect the following information: ROLA account login identifier (ROLA ID), device identifier.

If you do not provide such information, the ROLA robot product application will not be able to use the real-time video watching and calling functionality normally.

6) Providing camera photo-and-video recording functionality

To enable photo and video recording functionality, we need to read and write your storage content for storing screenshots and videos.

If you do not provide such information, the ROLA robot product application will not be able to use the screenshot and video recording functionality normally.

7) Providing online device upgrade services

To continuously optimize product performance and provide new features and services, we offer online device upgrade functionality and periodically release new versions of device software. To complete these functions, we need to collect the following information: ROLA account login identifier (ROLA ID), device identifier.

If you do not provide such information, the ROLA robot product application will not be able to use the online device upgrade service.

8) Providing push services

To implement the function of sending notifications to users, we need to collect the following information: ROLA account login identifier ROLA ID, device identifier, device's alarm video recordings, etc. The purpose of collecting this information is to remind you of important information through your chosen push method.

Our product integrates Umeng+SKD, Umeng+SDK collects (IMEI/Mac/Android ID/IDFA/OPENUD ID/GUID, SD card IMSI information) to uniquely identify the device and push messages to the target device; collect geographic location to identify the push channel; and improve the regional coverage rate of message push.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: to send important notifications, such as notifications about the abnormal operation status of the device, alarm message notifications, device push notifications you have chosen (specifically depending on the situation of the device you purchase and add), our terms, conditions, and policy changes. Camera notification data is only transferred in the cloud and not stored in the cloud.

If you do not provide such information, you will not be able to receive important device notifications and dynamic message push notifications.

9) User feedback

To implement the online feedback functionality for existing issues with the "ROLA robot product" application, we need to collect the following information: mobile phone number and email address, etc. The purpose of collecting this information is to follow up on whether your issue has been completely resolved or to contact you for necessary additional information.

We will use your personal information in the following ways: only for problem localization and resolution, not for personal information display, not to use such information for pushing commercial advertisements.

If you do not provide such information, we will not be able to effectively localize and resolve the issues you have reported.

10) NetEase YunDun behavior-based CAPTCHA

To efficiently intercept machine behavior and establish the first line of defense for business security, we have integrated the NetEase YunDun SDK, with the following specific information:

II. Device permission calls

Location permission: When you add a device, you need to enable this permission so that we can obtain WIFI information to add the device. If you do not enable this permission, you will not be able to discover ROLA and will not be able to add ROLA to the network for normal use.

Modify or delete content in the SD card: When you use the photo and video recording functionality, you need to enable this permission so that we can store the recorded pictures and videos. If you close this permission, it will affect the normal use of the photo and video recording functionality.

Recording: When you use the real-time video functionality, you need to enable this permission to implement audio and video connection and data transmission. If you do not enable this permission, it will affect the normal use of the real-time video functionality.

Find accounts on the device: When you log in and out of the current account, you need to enable this permission so that we can obtain the current account login status information to complete the login and logout operations. If you do not enable this permission, it will affect normal use.

Read phone status and identity: When you use this application, you need to first log in to the ROLA account, then enable this permission to complete account login and verification. If you do not enable this permission, you will not be able to log in to the account and will not be able to use this application normally.

You can always access the system "Settings" to manage the permissions of this application.

III. Managing your data

During your use of the ROLA robot product application, to enable you to more conveniently access, correct, and delete your personal information, and at the same time, to ensure your right to withdraw consent for the use of personal information, we have provided corresponding operation settings in product design. You can refer to the following guidelines for operation, and for specific detailed operations, please refer to the product operation guide.

(1) Accessing personal information

You can click on "Mine" at the bottom of the mobile application to enter the personal center interface, where you can query and access personal information such as nickname, avatar, account, etc.

You can enter the "Device Card" page of the mobile application to view the information of devices you have already bound, including device name, device setting information, robot model, firmware version, MAC address, serial number, device network information, etc.

You can view the pictures, videos, and their event alarm information stored locally on the SD card in the "Media Files" section of the mobile application.

(2) Deleting personal information

You can delete the information of devices you have already bound by unbinding the camera on the "Settings" page of the mobile application device card.

Canceling a personal account: You can click on "Mine" at the bottom of the mobile application to enter the settings page, find "Delete Account", and then cancel your account.

IV. Data storage location and duration

(1) Data storage location

The personal information we collect and generate under this service will be stored on the system servers.

(2) Data storage duration

We will only retain your personal information for the duration necessary to achieve its purpose and will delete or anonymize your personal information after exceeding the aforementioned retention time, except as otherwise required by laws and regulations.

Data on the mobile device: When you uninstall the "ROLA robot product" application or clear the "ROLA robot product" application data, that data will be cleared from the mobile device.

Furthermore, when our products or services cease operation, we will notify you through push notifications, announcements, etc., and will delete your personal information or anonymize it within a reasonable period.

V. Retention policy

We will retain personal information for the period necessary for the purposes of information collection described in this privacy policy, or to comply with applicable legal requirements.

Personal information will be retained until the collection purpose is completed, or after we confirm your deletion or cancellation request, or after we cease operation of the corresponding product or service, at which time we will stop retaining and proceed with deletion or anonymization. If necessary for public interest, scientific, historical research, or statistical purposes, we will continue to retain relevant data based on applicable laws, even if further data processing is unrelated to the original collection purpose.
